In short: your car data stays on your phone. ClutchKO has no accounts, no ads and no analytics, and we do not collect, sell or share the records you enter. The only data that leaves your device is what the app stores need to process a ClutchKO Pro purchase.
This policy explains what ClutchKO (the “app”) does with information. The app is provided by Skockano Studio (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at skockano.apps@gmail.com.
ClutchKO is an offline-first app. Everything you add is stored locally on your phone and is not sent to us or to any server we run:
Because we never receive this data, we cannot read it, recover it or restore it for you. Use the backup feature to keep a copy.
You can withdraw any permission in your phone’s settings; the related feature will stop working but the rest of the app will keep working.
Backup files, CSV exports, service-book PDFs and vehicle packages are created on your device when you ask for them. You decide where they go through the system share sheet (for example e-mail, a messaging app or cloud storage). Once a file leaves the app, it is governed by the privacy policy of the service you chose. A vehicle package contains only the vehicle and the history you chose to include; it never contains your reminders, preferences or other vehicles.
Some features may require ClutchKO Pro, a paid subscription or one-time purchase. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store; we never see your card or payment details.
To tell whether Pro is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives, on our behalf: an anonymous app user ID generated by the service, your purchase and subscription status, product identifiers, the store’s purchase receipt/token, device and operating-system information, and your IP address. This data is used only to confirm and restore your purchase. It is not linked to your car records, because we do not send those. RevenueCat’s handling of this data is described in its own privacy policy.
The app may download its typefaces from Google Fonts the first time it needs them. Like any web request, this lets Google see your IP address and the fact that a font was requested. No car data is included. See Google’s privacy policy.
Your records remain on your device until you delete them. You can remove everything at any time with Settings → Delete all data, or by uninstalling the app. Purchase records kept by Google, Apple and RevenueCat follow their own retention rules. Because we hold no personal data about you apart from what the purchase processor handles, most requests can be satisfied by using the app itself (export, edit, delete). If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with data-protection law, you have the right to access, correct, delete and port your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. ClutchKO is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your data is protected by your phone’s own security (screen lock, device encryption and app sandboxing). Backups and exports you create are not encrypted by the app, so store and share them with care.
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes will also be mentioned in the app or its store listing.
